About Frank Sexology
More about me
My name is Fran Foulkes-Taylor and I live in Geraldton, located in the Midwest region of Western Australia. I grew up on a sheep station in the Midwest, and then lived in Perth for high school, study and work, before moving back to the region to live in Geraldton in 2021. As well as being a sexologist, I have worked as an accredited practising dietitian for more than 8 years, with a strong interest in body image and size inclusive health. My passion for human sexuality and relationships led me to study a Master of Sexology through Curtin, which I completed in 2023. I am passionate about providing safe and inclusive person-centred care that is evidenced-based and trauma-informed.
As a dietitian I have been delivering nutrition education and cooking workshops in schools and adult community groups since 2018, which I absolutely love. I’m passionate and excited to translate these skills to deliver sexuality and relationship education to small and large groups in Geraldton and the Midwest.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, baking sourdough, running, team sports, cooking, reading and listening to podcasts!
If you would like to contact me or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at fran@franksexology.com
What’s with the name?
Firstly, it’s important to ‘be frank’ when communicating about sexuality and relationships. In other words, being honest, open and direct.
The term ‘sexology’ means the scientific study of all aspects of sexuality. I believe it’s important that society learns the meaning of this word in the same way we know the meaning of ‘biology’ or ‘anthropology’. Another good word is ‘erotology’ which I’ll let you Google.
